As I’ve mentioned before, unless the weather conditions are really stable like in the middle of summer when it is just blue skies and hot hot hot (mostly), your bog standard weather apps on your phone are not going to cut it (but if you’ve found one that does, please message me :-)).
My favourite sites are:
- Croatian Met Service – DHMZ Choose South Adriatic
- Windy.com – seriously pretty weather forecasting, and you have to choose your weather model (choose NEMS, ICON or ECWFS) or you can choose a combined model.
- Windguru – great for predicting Kotor Bay’s notorious Bura winds (choose Kotor Fjord – it isn’t a fjord, btw).
- UK Met Office – The Surface Pressure charts are always a good starting point
- Meteoblue – Not always that accurate at local level but another useful starting point.
